Protest Letter by Iranian-Azari Writer against Fakhteh Zamani

DATE: 05/05/09

Dear Ms. Zaman :

I read your letter with focused attention and a determination to be objective in responding to what you had written. As a proud Iranian from Azerbaijan I am amazed at the degree of your ignorance about the history of Iran and her people. On the other side I do see where you come from – you and your co-hosts are the remnants of Pishevari era whose forefathers were tortured by Stalinist during Bolshevik takeover of the Soviet Union and their atrocities. Your retaliatory attitude of past abuse has substantially damaged your optimistic outlook leading you and your companions to a self destructing destination. Those separatists who supported disintegration of Caucasus from Iran during Quajar rules under the Russian imperialism are not alive today to see the consequences of their fake grand plans. They ruined the Caucasus region whose people have been suffering since then to this day where a bunch of self proclaimed narcissists are in seats of power  abusing and exploiting their own peoples. Shame on you and people like you who are totally ignorant of your identity.   It is a shame that you and your supporters misinform the general public especially the Western politicians with their limited knowledge about Iran and its great history.

You are not a representative of Iranian Azerbaijanis. The Azerbaijanis of Iran love their country, they have always played an important role in ruling Iran and protecting its independence throughout history. Almost one third of Iran’s population is of Turkic origin and they are greatly respected by all sectors of the society. If you don’t know I recommend that you go back to world history and review it several times so it could penetrate in your psyche after all.

Iran with its mosaic composition of ethnic groups is a beautiful country full of varieties, languages, traditions, religions, arts and crafts that every major and minor educational institutions around the world is happy to disseminate information for public awareness.

Wouldn’t it be better if you would choose some honorable profession to make a living rather than being a hired hand by secret agents of foreign governments to pay for your expenses for traveling and falsifying information to foreign legislative bodies around the world like a loose satelite lost in space?   I am a proud Iranian Azerbaijani like millions of others sending you this letter. Attached please find a copy of my book about Azerbaijan.

Sincerely.
