Connections in Music, Literature and Culture
- The Ajameti Music and dance of Georgia. “Ajameti” refers to Iran and Iranians as this dance and music piece was popular in Iran up to the early twentieth century.
- Georgian Instrumental Folk Song- the song begins with melodies with connections to the Balkans and the Zamfir notes of Romania; this then transforms into a distinct Perso-Georgian rhythm. The song then concludes with that Perso-Georgian melody played in a fast-paced Caucasian (Kafkaz) beat.
