Kourosh Yaghmaei

 

Kourosh Yaghmaei -کوروش یغمایی- (see his website by clicking here)  set the trends of Iranian lectronic guitar music by combining eastern melodies and themes with Western 1960s-early 1970s psychedelic styles, not unlike similar experimentaiton that went on neighboring Turkey during the 1960s and 1970s (to the present).

Gol e Yakh – گل یخ- One of Kourosh Yaghmaei’s most popualr songs, this piece propelled Yaghmaei to stardom. Gol e Yakh continues to be popular among Iranians to this day.
